In Studio our assignment was to create a mask using chipboard or cardboard to create plane like structures and explore creating various forms.
Mapping has been a very prominent theme in this semester’s studio class. Our goal was to give clear directions and simplify the complicated with each piece we created. This week’s project focused on Brooklyn Botanical Garden’s. We could pick out anything throughout the park that really stood out and use it to give directions. I chose to map out plaques that were used to dedicate various landmarks, benches and areas to various people’s loved ones.
We learned in class that the best way to do this was to take as many as a hundred photos, and in the end when we come back to our work, pick out the photos with trends we can spot.
